Overview

BlueBox Hardware is a versatile family of tools and adapters designed for debugging and tracing embedded systems. The primary hardware product within this family is referred to as the BlueBox.

 

To facilitate the debugging and tracing of embedded targets, a range of specialized adapters, suited for various microcontroller families, can be employed. These include:

Active Probes

Adapters various types (Debug Adapters, Active Probe Adapters)

 

Converters are used if your target connector's pinout doesn't align with the Debug Adapter's pinout or Active Probe's pinout.

 

The BlueBox iC5700 can be enhanced by integrating ADIO and CAN/LIN Add-on modules. These modules extend its capabilities, enabling the simultaneous monitoring of analog and digital signals alongside program execution information. Additionally, they facilitate real-time monitoring of CAN, CAN-FD, and LIN interfaces in synchronization with program execution data.

 

For microcontroller families lacking a trace interface port, an Emulation Adapter offers a practical solution. By replacing the target microcontroller with a soldering unit, the Emulation Adapter can be attached to provide both debug and trace ports, accommodating various microcontroller families.

 

The DAP over CAN Physical Layer Converter enables debugging through the standard CAN pins of the ECU connector without the need to open its housing. This connection is characterized by its robust electrical integrity due to the inherent properties of the CAN bus.

 

Galvanic Isolation Adapters are employed when two electric circuits need to communicate, but their grounds may have differing potentials. These adapters effectively mitigate ground loops between circuits, enhancing system stability. Furthermore, galvanic isolation serves as a safety measure, preventing unintentional current flow through a person's body.
