Utilizing on-chip Tracing in Continuous Integration

Hardware-based tracing allows you to see what is happening on your target. This on-target trace technology allows metrics like task runtimes, CPU Load or Code Coverage to be measured non-intrusively, so that there is no impact on the actual runtime behavior of a system.

With the isystem.connect Software Development Kit (SDK) our tools provide the possibility to fully automate this kind of measurements. Integrated into a Continuous Integration (CI) environment such a setup allows the tracking of important metrics throughout the whole development phase. Timing constraints can be monitored, and performance issues and bottlenecks identified and eliminated at an early stage.

Watch this webinar and learn how to setup Trace for your project and discover how to automate the measurement and analysis of the respective results and how all this can be integrated into a CI system.

About iSYSTEM

We empower embedded software engineers to do it right!

Our BlueBox Technology stands for fast and easy microcontroller access via any kind of debug interface. Complemented with integrated development and test software winIDEA/testIDEA it provides access to on-target timing information. Embedded software engineers can review application timing, analyze real-time operating system states, and undertake code coverage to prove that their products do what they were built to do.
