GDB Client update

The new GDB Client in winIDEA features a cleaner user interface and improved capabilities, including direct program debugging without a GDB Server.

A list of unlocked devices has been added to Tools | Options | SFRs. You can now unlock a device in this section with an unlock key received from Support.

The option Preserve symbols between winIDEA sessions in Debug | Debug Options | Symbols is renamed to Load debug symbols at workspace open in Tools | Options | Environment:

Infineon TriCore: Debug status shows stop reason

Status shows stop reason if available. Abbreviations are taken from Infineon reference manuals (e.g. TRxEVT, SWEVT, etc.).

 

Example: Status after a hardware breakpoint event.

Workspace dialog

The Workspace dialog, found via Tools | Workspace, lets you select different environment settings and install optional packages.

 

Two options have been renamed and moved to Workspace from Tools | Options:

Select build manager previously in Tools | Options | Environment has been renamed Build manager type.

Limit number of clients previously in Tools | Options | winIDEA SDK has been renamed Limit number of iConnect clients.
