Connect the BlueBox and the Target with Active Probe
In this topic:
•Connect Infineon DAP/DAPE Active Probe
•Connect AGBT/SGBT/HSSTP/Aurora Active Probe
•Connect Active Probe Parallel
Your power supply, USB and grounding wire is setup.
|
You should design the PCB with the target debug connector(s) with the Keying Shroud since incorrect connection can cause damage to the hardware. |
The Infineon DAP/DAPE II Active Probe is connected to the iC7max/iC5700 FNet port via the FNet cable and on the other side it connects to the Target via:
•DAP connector - DAP interface provides access to the on-chip debug and the MCDS trace module.
•DAP and DAPE connector - DAPE interface provides access only to the on-chip MCDS trace module and increases the bandwidth of the trace channel toward the debugger.
1. Connect the Active Probe's FNet cable to the BlueBox FNet port.
2. Allocate the pin 1 on the Target and the ribbon cable connector.
Pin 1 can be marked by a dot next to the connector, number 1 marker or a triangle marker imprinted into the connector plastic, etc.
3. Push (and remove) the connector PARALLEL to the Target.
4. (optional) Repeat steps 3. and 4. with the DAPE cable.
The Active Probes:
•Infineon AGBT
•Infineon SGBT (HSTCU)
•RH850 Aurora
•Arm HSSTP II
•MPC5x/SPC5X Aurora
are connected to the Target via one ribbon cable and the other side to the iC7max/iC5700 FNet port via the FNet cable.
1. Connect the Active Probe's FNet cable to the BlueBox FNet port.
2. Connect the ribbon cable adapter to the Target AURORA port.
The white dot indicates pin one. Connectors also have a key and socket. Insert (and remove) the black connector parallel to the surface of the Target.
The Active Probe Debug is connected to the Target via:
•One ribbon cable adapter
•iC7 Active Probe Adapter
and the other side to the iC7max/iC5700 FNet port via the FNet cable.
1. Connect the Active Probe's FNet cable to the BlueBox FNet port.
2. Connect the ribbon cable adapter to the iC7 Active Probe Adapter.
3. Connect the Active Probe Adapter to the Target.
The white dot indicates pin one. Connectors also have a key and socket. Insert (and remove) the black connector parallel to the surface of the Target.
The Active Probe Parallel is connected to the Target via:
•two 30 and 40-pin ribbon cable adapters
•iC7 Active Probe Adapter
and the other side to the iC7max/iC5700 FNet port via the FNet cable.
1. Connect the Active Probe's FNet cable to the BlueBox FNet port.
2. Connect the ribbon cable adapters to the iC7 Active Probe Adapter.
3. Connect the Active Probe Adapter to the Target.
A white dot indicates pin one. Connectors also have a key and socket. Insert (and remove) the black connector parallel to the surface of the Target.
1. Power on the BlueBox.
2. Power on the Target.
When debugging is completed the hardware should be powered off in the reverse order.
By following these two simple steps, you can successfully verify communication with the BlueBox and eliminate the possibility of communication issues.
1. Go to Hardware | Debugger Hardware | Communication.
2. Press Test.
If the Communication Test Status displays Hardware not found , follow the BlueBox Hardware category in Knowledge Base.
