Analog Devices Precision Microcontrollers
Outstanding analog is the hallmark of products from Analog Devices. Leveraging their silicon technology and experience in automotive applications, coupled with the processing power of ARM, these precision microcontrollers are targeted at 12V battery monitoring applications.
Capable of being connected directly to the 12V power of the automobile, the ADuCM33x devices feature dual, high-performance multichannel sigma-delta (Σ-Δ) ADCs together with an ARM® Cortex™-M3 processor with up to 132kB of flash memory and 6kB of SRAM. These microcontrollers are targeted at the monitoring and diagnosis of 12V batteries, covering parameters covering current, voltage and temperature. As well as automotive applications, these devices are also suitable for industrial and medical applications where lead-acid batteries are used.
Despite the limited debug implementation, iSYSTEM's hardware and software tools are still able to deliver important insights during development and testing. winIDEA's Real Time Watch feature allows analysis of the content of variables in quasi-real-time. Collected data can be graphically plotted using the integrated daqIDEA feature. testIDEA can make use of our Slow Run capability to generate code coverage information whilst executing unit tests - ideal for regular automated testing in conjunction with Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins.
