ARTI and MDF4 support in iSYSTEM winIDEA
AUTOSAR ARTI is the successor of the ORTI (OSEK Run-Time Interface) standard. The purpose of AUTOSAR ARTI is to provide information about Tasks, ISRs, Runnables, RTE Communication, Spinlocks and more to tool vendors via the AUTOSAR ARXML format. iSYSTEM’s winIDEA fully supports the import of ARTI ARXML which enables detailed run-time evaluation, tracing, and statistical analysis of the Operating System and RTE (AUTOSAR’s Runtime Environment).

Once you have recorded run-time information, users can use the powerful analysis and reporting features of winIDEA, or export the trace data for further processing in third-party timing-analysis tools for use cases such as event-chain analysis, and constraint validation. iSYSTEM has supported the BTF trace standard for many years and can now proudly announce the support of ASAM ARTI MDF trace format. ASAM MDF4 is a storage efficient binary trace format that is widely used in the embedded industry. In the context of the AUTOSAR ARTI project, MDF has been extended with support for AUTOSAR OS and RTE objects, as well as user customizable signals. Users can use the MDF export to view trace data from multiple sources together in a seamless way.
