Emulation Adapters

With some of the more advanced 32-bit microcontrollers and SoCs, the full program and data trace capabilities of the device are not made available on production silicon. Instead, semiconductor vendors provide special 'emulation devices'. These typically feature more pins than the production device, thereby providing the interface to the trace interface.

iSYSTEM provides Emulation Adapters for many of these devices. Such devices are made up of:

• A solder adapter, which can be soldered in the place of your chosen microcontroller.
• The conversion board to map to different pin-counts.
• A measurement board, providing access to all device pins.
• The emulation adapter (umbrella device with highest pin-count and trace).
• A power supply board (optional).

Such devices are available for microcontrollers from Infineon, NXP, ST Microelectronics, Renesas.
