winIDEA Release Note 9.26.11

In this topic:

•Summary

•Highlights

•New features

•Newly supported SoCs

Verified build release date: 18 Sep 2026

winIDEA build number: 9.26.11.1.315622

Summary

This release adds full debug, flash, and trace support for 10 new SoCs across five vendors, including a near-complete Texas Instruments C2000 lineup and first-time support for Yuntu Microelectronics. It also extends trace, security, and peripheral debug capabilities on 8 existing devices from FlagChip, GigaDevice, Renesas, STMicroelectronics, and Texas Instruments.

Highlights

•Debug multiple SoCs as one synchronized system - One iC7max BlueBox probe controls and observes up to six SoCs in a single winIDEA, sharing a common BlueBox timestamp counter for synchronized run/stop and a unified trace timeline.

•Manage a full SoC from one winIDEA session - Observe the whole SoC without juggling multiple winIDEA instances.

•Give an AI agent structured access to your running system - winIDEA AI kit, included with the new winIDEA Expert and AI add-on license tiers, lets an AI agent investigate behavior, guide workflows, generate automation scripts, and verify results using live system data.

•Broader SoC support - Debug and flash support added for 10 new SoCs across Texas Instruments, STMicroelectronics, GigaDevice, and Yuntu Microelectronics, plus trace, security, and peripheral debug extensions on 8 existing devices — see Newly supported SoCs for the full list.

New features

Debug multiple SoCs as one synchronized system

Debug and trace multiple SoCs on a single, synchronized timeline. One iC7max BlueBox controls and observes up to 6 SoCs in a single winIDEA, sharing a common BlueBox timestamp counter across all connected SoCs.

Capabilities:

•Synchronized run/stop - when one SoC hits a breakpoint, every connected SoC halts at the same time, avoiding cross-triggered watchdogs

•Unified trace timeline - each SoC's trace stream is timestamped from the shared counter

•Automated BTF merge - per-SoC BTF files are merged and sorted by timestamp, with SoC core prefixes added automatically, for direct analysis in TA Inspection

•Dual-channel safety debug - synchronized fault injection and simultaneous observation of both channels and their voter logic, for ISO 26262 / IEC 61508 redundant architectures

•Mixed-architecture support - TriCore, Cortex-A/R/M, RISC-V, PowerPC, RH850, combinable freely across SoCs non-intrusive profiling — MegaSampling and SWAT software trace provide execution profiling across all SoCs without stopping the system or affecting timing

Trace interfaces: AGBT, DAP+, HSSTP, SWO, Parallel Trace, CAN/LIN/SPI.

Manage a full SoC from one winIDEA session

Observe the whole SoC in one winIDEA, no more multiple winIDEA instances.

Debug and trace with AI assistance

winIDEA AI kit gives an AI agent structured access to winIDEA, allowing it to work with data from the running system instead of relying on source code alone.

It can investigate behavior, guide workflows, generate automation scripts, and help verify results.

For more information, refer to Get Started with winIDEA AI Kit for agent-assisted debugging.

More ways to install winIDEA on Linux: Flatpak

winIDEA can now also be installed on Linux via Flatpak, alongside the existing Snap package.

For more information, refer to Set up winIDEA from a Flatpak on Linux.

Debug Infineon ModusToolbox projects without leaving your IDE

winIDEA integrates with Infineon ModusToolbox: a project created in ModusToolbox can be opened, built, and debugged directly in winIDEA, or through the ModusToolbox plugins for VS Code and Eclipse.

For more information, refer to Debug Infineon ModusToolbox projects with winIDEA from VS Code or Eclipse.
