Demo Mode demonstrates the winIDEA functionality to a certain extent without any BlueBox and/or target connected. Enable/disable Demo Mode by clicking Tools  | Demo Mode.

Use cases

•winIDEA demonstration - As a first time user you can get a general view of winIDEA layout and an insight into the basic operations of Debug windows (e.g. Watches, Core Registers, Disassembly etc.) before connecting to the target CPU.

•Enabling Flash Programming and HSM Debugging and Programming (Infineon TriCore) - Download file check, the code is downloaded only to PC and the critical UCB sections can be reviewed.
