Configure a New Workspace
In this tutorial, you will learn how to create a new workspace and define its name, location, and debugger type, add Symbol and Program Files and understand the differences;
Select Create New Workspace. |
When first launching winIDEA, a Select Workspace dialog pops up. You can open this dialog via File | Select Workspace.
Define Name, Location, and Debugger type. |
Make sure option BlueBox Development Tools is selected if you work with BlueBox.
You can create new workspace via File | Workspace | New Workspace.
Start typing in the Device field parts of Device's name to quickly narrow down the search. |
You can use vendor's naming as well, e.g. Traveo, Chorus, Bolero, Kinetis, F1KM.
Button Switch to Full, will redirect you too the Session Configuration dialog (accessible via Debug | Configure Session), where you can configure additional settings. |
Add Symbol (and Program) file. |
Click Switch to Full to configure the advanced settings. |
Select BlueBox. |
winIDEA will automatically detect connected and powered-on BlueBoxes.
(optional) Select your Probe. |
System refers to the connection via BlueBox connectors.
(optional) Select your Board to automatically configure CPU settings. |
By default winIDEA uses DAP connection for Infineon AURIX devices. For additional information go to Quick start with Target Board Presets. |
