New features

Software Trace Tool (SWAT)

SWAT is a software-based tracing solution for SoCs without hardware trace support. You can now record trace events and analyze multiple metrics with no special hardware needed.

See SWAT for more information.

TAS session name

You can now select the name of your TAS session when using the Infineon DAP miniWiggler as debugger. You can configure it via Hardware | Debugger Hardware | Configure.

mDIO PWR (Power pin)

The option now lets you power a circuit via mDIO. It can be found via Hardware | Options | FNet | <FNode> | mDIO.

See the dedicated BlueBox User Manual for electrical spefifications.

MCS/Channels plugin

The MCS/Channels plugin lets you monitor MCS channels on SoCs with Bosch GTM cores. You can view and select individual channels in winIDEA via View | [<device.GTM0 MCSx>] MCS | Channels.

See MCS/Channels for more information.

Arm debug over XCP master

winIDEA now supports debugging Arm devices over XCP master. You can now integrate Arm devices into your existing XCP-based development setup.

See Debug over XCP Master for more information.

Changes to existing features

GDB Watchpoints

The dialog, previously found in GDB | Watchpoints, now opens via Debug | Hardware Breakpoints. The dialog itself did not change.

See GDB Client for more information.

NXP/ST Power Architecture: Low Power Mode Debug

The options Low Power Debug and Run after exiting low power state, previously found in in Hardware | CPU Options | SoC, were moved to Hardware | CPU Options | Debugging | Low Power Mode Debug.

See Debugging for more information.
