Options Dialog Reference
This section describes the pages of the Tools > Options dialog, where you set winIDEA preferences for the IDE, the editor, and individual windows. Most window-specific pages can also be opened by right-clicking in that window and selecting Options.
Use it to:
•Environment - Set how workspaces and documents are loaded, saved, and backed up, and set general IDE behavior such as online help and the user templates location.
•Advanced - Set UI warnings, compatible commands, and the menu structure.
•Disassembly - Select what the Disassembly window shows (symbols, labels, source lines), how the indicator is displayed, and how memory is accessed.
•SFR Window - Set how SFR names, values, radix prefixes, and sub-registers are displayed.
•Callstack Window - Set whether source lines are shown, how many lines around the PC are displayed, and how source file paths are shown.
•Terminal - Select the communication channel (debugger or COM port) and terminal emulation, send ASCII files, override shortcuts, and save received data to a file.
•winIDEA SDK - Set the TCP service port and UDP discovery port that winIDEA SDK clients, such as Python scripts, use to connect to winIDEA.
•Script - Select the Python distribution that winIDEA uses and define shortcut scripts.
•SFRs - Set the SFR database location, recreate the default database, or use a custom database.
•Colors and Fonts - Select the IDE theme, editor color scheme, UI properties, and fonts.
•General (Editor) - Set editor fonts, watch tip delay, large file limit, selection margin action, line numbers, bracket auto-close, code folding, and read-only mode.
•Whitespace (Editor) - Set tabs or spaces for indentation, how whitespace is displayed, indentation guides, virtual spaces, and the line indicator.
